Built for Ethiopian schools
Chora exists to close the gap between what happens in the classroom and what parents know at home.
Our story
Parents often learn about their child's progress weeks after it happens — if they learn at all. Meanwhile, teachers spend hours on paperwork that could be spent teaching, and school administrators manage everything on paper and spreadsheets.
Chora was built to change that. Attendance, grades, and communication flow through one platform, reaching parents the moment teachers record them. Schools run the day-to-day from a single console. Nothing gets lost between terms.
We're launching with the first ten schools in Ethiopia. Everything is designed around what those schools actually need — including support for Amharic, offline-first workflows, and local payment options.
Mission
To give every parent real-time visibility into their child's education.
Vision
A country where no student's progress is a mystery to their family.
Values
Built for reality
Designed for schools with limited infrastructure and slow connections — not for perfect conditions.
Local first
Amharic and English. Ethiopian payment options. Understanding how schools here actually run.
Privacy by default
Student data belongs to the family and the school. Never to advertisers or third parties.
Simple to start
A school can be onboarded in a day, not a month. Every feature earns its place.
